“No man can be a Christian who does not pray.”
I recently had the opportunity to review The Spurgeon Journal by B&H Publishers. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. No other compensation was received for reviewing this book.
I chose to review The Spurgeon Journal because of my recent passion for prayer and gratitude journaling. This hardcover journal makes a great presentation with its leather look and feel. Included on the bottom of some of the lined pages are quotes from Spurgeon’s early sermons along with the corresponding name and number of the sermon. Also included is a customizable table of contents to easily track notes, topics or sermons recorded on the following pages.
As a whole I like this journal and would recommend it for those who enjoy journaling, taking sermon notes and other things of that nature. The book size makes it easy to tuck in a purse or bag for notes on-the-go. The only disadvantage I found was that the book does not remain open by itself which may be difficult for things like sermon preparation, although the ribbon bookmark would keep one’s place.
Thank you to B&H Publishers for the privilege of reviewing this beautiful journal.
